Включала федеральный штаб, штабы в штатах, местные управления и сеть местных призывных пунктов, а также Национальный апелляционный совет [National Appeal Board]. Распущена администрацией Р. Никсона [ Nixon, Richard Milhous] в начале 70-х. Регистрации подлежали все граждане США мужского пола в возрасте от 18 до 64 лет; призыву подлежали все американцы мужского пола в возрасте от 18 до 44 лет, за исключением физически и умственно неполноценных.
